Overview

The FBA Liquidation Program allows sellers to liquidate their inventory in Amazon’s US fulfillment centers through an Amazon partner or subsidiary.

How liquidation works

To meet the requirements of the liquidation cycle, sellers must register your products before the 1st of each month. After registration, the corresponding inventory will be locked into the liquidation channel and will be unavailable for sale. Therefore, it is recommended that sellers register products as close to the 1st of each month as possible. The system will evaluate the corresponding inventory for the current liquidation cycle before the 4th of each month. After the evaluation is completed, the corresponding products will be included in the auction of the month or returned to the seller's inventory.

Liquidation Proceeds

Typically, liquidated inventory will be sold for 10% of its original selling price. The seller will receive 90% of that amount, and the remaining 10% goes to an Amazon affiliate.

For example, if an item originally priced at $25 is sold for $2.50, the seller will receive $2.25 of the $2.50, and the Amazon subsidiary will keep $0.25.

Amazon will reimburse the seller for the difference between the estimated selling price of the inventory and the amount recovered through liquidation.
