Amazon Prime Day may be held in October, and what are the regulations?



Due to the dual outbreak of the epidemic and riots abroad, sellers' sales have plummeted. In addition, major warehouses have been severely overwhelmed in recent days, and sellers' goods have been unable to be put on the shelves, resulting in many sellers' listings being out of stock and no orders to be placed.


But recently, there have been reports that Amazon Prime Day may be held in October. If the news is true, sellers can say that their hard work has paid off.
 
For Amazon sellers, Amazon Prime Day is the biggest shopping spree in the summer, with huge traffic. In previous years, Prime Day was usually held in July, but this year, due to the epidemic, Amazon has not yet announced the specific date of Prime Day.
 
According to foreign media reports, this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event is expected to be held in late September to October. Amazon hopes to end the "Prime Day Deals" event as soon as possible before the start of the "Black Friday" shopping season in November. Prime Day cannot be earlier than the last week of September and may last until early October.

The notice shows that the deadline for Amazon Prime Day FBA warehousing delivery in 2020 is September 25, 2020, the deadline for submitting Prime Day coupons is one week before the start of Member Day, and the deadline for applying for Prime Day flash sales is July 10.

 
At the same time, a seller in the cross-border circle broke the news that this year's Amazon Prime Day will be held on October 3, and issued a screenshot of a notification related to Prime Day.

Prime Day Lead-Up & Prime Day will start on October 3, 2020 and end on October 4, 2020;
Prime Day Lead-Up only will start on October 5, 2020 and end on October 6, 2020;
Prime Day only will start on October 7, 2020 and end on November 3, 2020.
 
The notice also stipulates the relevant rules for Prime Day, including the following five aspects:
1. Minimum discount of 20%;
2. Star rating >= 3.5 or no comments;
3. 5% higher than the lowest ASIN price in the past 30 days;
4. ASINS must be Prime;
5. If there is a seller rating, it must be at least a 4-star seller rating, etc.

Although Amazon has not yet officially announced the specific date of Prime Day, sellers can also make early preparations based on the above information and plan marketing activities for the upcoming traffic peak in order to increase sales and store conversion rates.
 

Regarding Prime Day marketing, suggestions for sellers:

1. Take advantage of unofficial promotions.

2. Optimize Amazon product detail pages.

3. Don’t raise retail prices too high before discounting.

4. Launch Amazon sponsored products and sponsored brand campaigns.

5. Hold off-Amazon promotions.

6. Use psychological effects to guide consumers to buy.
