As Christmas approaches, Amazon has introduced new policies. On December 9, Amazon US released an important announcement about improving inventory with expiration dates. The original text of the announcement is as follows: Amazon is improving the rules for listing products with expiration or shelf life. This change will affect the product attributes Is_Expiration_Dated_Product (IEDP), Product_Expiration_Type (PET), and FC_Shelf_Life (Shelf Life). These attributes are available when sellers create ASINs in product types that are subject to the Expiration Dated Product Policy and SFP product expiration dates. Existing ASINs or inventory will not be affected, and the change is only effective for newly created ASINs. By filling in the correct attributes, sellers can help create a complete incoming goods process and effectively track products in the logistics center so that products that have exceeded their shelf life can be removed before delivering the goods to customers. Sellers will notice the following specific changes when creating ASINs for inventory with expiration dates: Label Changes : Amazon will update attribute labels to provide consistency across all marketplaces. This will minimize confusion about attribute requirements and allow sellers to answer questions with confidence. Requirement Changes : Amazon will update the requirements for IEDP, PET, and shelf life. Sellers need to answer IEDP with "Yes" or "No". If you answer IEDP with "Yes", then you must also answer PET and shelf life. Answer Format : Amazon will update each answer format by replacing open text cells with drop-down menus and standardized answer formats to avoid confusion. Tool tips : Amazon will update “Tool tips” to provide a clear definition for each attribute to better understand the context. Attribute Location : Amazon is moving the attribute location in Seller Central so that expiration dates are grouped together. Previously, expiration attributes could be found in different parts of attribute templates and creation paths depending on the product type. It is important to note that labels, answer formats, and tooltips will be updated in all markets by December 21, 2020. The requirement changes will take effect on January 25, 2021 . It should be noted that the product must match an existing ASIN. Amazon prohibits the creation of new ASINs for existing products. Doing so may result in suspension or even removal of sales qualifications. Recently, Amazon released an update announcement in the background, announcing that the FBA Order Savings plan will add a new DashBoard function !
The newly added Subscribe & Save program DashBoard can clearly display indicators such as the number of items and revenue of shipped orders, estimated sales quantity and revenue of expected shipments, current order quantity, average revenue of each Subscribe & Save buyer, and proportion of out-of-stock items. In addition to some general data, sellers can also see the various indicators of each ASIN through DashBoard, and can filter by time ranges such as year and month. Before this, the Subscribe & Save page was relatively simple, and there was no unified display page for each product participating in the plan. Now that DashBoard is online, it puts together several key indicators that sellers want to know, which greatly facilitates sellers participating in the Subscribe & Save plan. The Subscribe and Save program is a large-volume, regular, preferential purchasing program. Buyers can choose the Subscribe and Save program when they need to purchase a certain commodity in large quantities on a regular basis to obtain certain ordering discounts. What are the benefits? It is reported that Amazon provides sellers with three discount levels to choose from, namely 0%, 5% and 10%. The default discount for automatically registered products is 0%. Sellers can choose different discount levels by themselves. Regardless of the discount the seller chooses, Amazon will add an additional 5% to the seller's discount, which means that consumers who shop from the Subscribe & Save program can enjoy discounts of at least 5%, 10%, and 15% . The most important thing is that there is no additional cost to participate in the program. Amazon will only charge sellers regular FBA logistics fees. Therefore, sellers can give it a try. If you are selling daily necessities that are consumable and need to be purchased repeatedly, such as paper towels, disinfectants, etc., the Subscribe and Save plan will be more suitable for you. In short, when conducting sales business on Amazon, you must strictly abide by the rules of the Amazon platform in order to be more stable and last longer. (Source: FBA Information) |
