Big news this week! Amazon restricts third-party sellers from using FedEx Ground

In order to provide buyer reviews to consumers around the world, Amazon is trying to merge reviews for the same product published by the same seller on multiple sites. According to Amazon customer service, this feature started on October 15, 2019 and is currently in the testing phase.

Amazon has temporarily restricted third-party sellers on its platform from using FedEx Ground. FedEx confirmed the news and said the decision would only affect a small number of shippers but would limit logistics options for small businesses on a historically high-demand shipping day.

In order to fight for higher wages and better working conditions, German trade union Verdi called on workers at Amazon's important logistics center to continue their strike before Christmas. The union said that employees are under great burden and pressure during the Christmas period, and they also work the longest overtime hours, so they should receive collectively negotiated Christmas subsidies.

Shopee recently announced that it has lowered the shipping fee for the SLS Standard Express channel in the Philippines. Starting from December 16, 2019, buyers whose destination is in Area B will pay a fixed shipping fee of 50 Philippine pesos for the first weight (50g) and additional weight (every 10g), while sellers whose destination is in Area B will pay a fixed shipping fee of 73 Philippine pesos for the first weight.
