Amazon's warehousing policy will usher in a major adjustment!
According to reports from multiple industry media, Amazon's warehousing policy will also undergo a major adjustment, possibly on March 1.

The adjustments are as follows:
The replenishment limit based on quantity will be cancelled. The replenishment limit and storage capacity limit will be unified into storage limit (calculated by volume).

According to Amazon's previous rules, replenishment restrictions mainly restrict sellers' replenishment quantities, and storage restrictions mainly restrict storage volumes. The scope of restrictions is different, and sellers have a lot to consider.
The assessment of IPI performance is changed to once a month, and the corresponding restrictions are also changed to be updated once a month, with each limit being valid for one month.

Previously, IPI performance was assessed once a quarter, and the storage restrictions generated by the assessment results were valid for 3 months, making it impossible for sellers to improve their IPI scores by adjusting their inventory management performance in a timely manner.
Storage limits can be predicted for three months. In addition to the storage limits determined for the next month, Amazon will also provide estimated storage limits for the next two months. When the storage limit is not enough, sellers can apply for additional storage capacity through the Storage Limit Manager, up to 5 times per month.

There is no doubt that the operating costs of Amazon sellers will increase in 2023, and improving their own operational efficiency will be a more urgent proposition.
