US Customs seized a large number of fake brand-name goods with a market value of up to 8 million US dollars!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently seized a batch of counterfeit goods at Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport with a total value of up to 8 million U.S. dollars.

The report said the counterfeit goods seized included Apple and Samsung electronics, Nike and Adidas sneakers, Cartier and Gucci jewelry, Super Bowl rings, and various designer accessories, involving dozens of major brands.

“We also seized counterfeit purses, handbags and wallets from well-known brands such as Louis Vuitton and Coach, as well as tens of thousands of dollars worth of Super Bowl New York Yankees MLB rings, including one ring that was sold online for as much as $5,000,” said CBP Director Eric Zizelman.

The U.S. Customs pointed out that due to the continued rise in inflation, Americans' demand for cheap goods has soared, resulting in counterfeit goods taking advantage of this holiday shopping season. CBP did not specify the source and destination of these counterfeit goods, but only said that their total value was as high as $8 million.

It is learned that from the photos released by CBP, it can be seen that the counterfeit goods seized include Apple AirPods, Nike basketball shoes, Samsung watches, Chanel handbags, etc.

Finally, CBP issued a warning and reminded consumers not to buy counterfeit goods because the quality of counterfeit goods is seriously inconsistent with the genuine goods. For example, some counterfeit electronic products often break down in a short period of time or pose a fire hazard.
