Shopify and Paytm have reached a cooperation! They will provide merchants with multiple payment methods!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Shopify recently announced a cooperation with Indian payment company Paytm. In the future, Shopify merchants will be able to receive payments through Paytm.

It is reported that the Paytm payment gateway will be integrated into the Shopify platform in June 2023. By then, Indian merchants will be able to conduct online business more easily through Shopify's latest checkout technology and Paytm payment gateway.

According to Shopify, through this partnership, Shopify merchant partners will be able to accept payments through multiple payment methods such as Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Postpay (buy now, pay later), online banking, debit or credit cards, etc.

A Paytm spokesperson said that the partnership with Shopify will bring the benefits of easy activation and super-fast payments to thousands of retailers on its platform. As a player in India's digital payments space, Paytm is committed to providing new omni-channel payment solutions to merchant partners.

A Shopify spokesperson said, "Digital payments are one of the main forces driving the growth of e-commerce in India. As Indians shop both offline and online across a multitude of platforms, channels, apps and devices, it is imperative that retailers attract customers and facilitate the shopping and checkout experience by offering popular payment methods."
