Health Canada urgently recalls multiple products! Involving Amazon, Costco and other platforms!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, the Canadian Ministry of Health recently urgently recalled several products sold on websites such as Amazon, Costco and Canadian Tire, involving electronic products, household items and children's products.

One of the recalls involves 4moms MamaRoo infant bassinets (models 4M-005, 1026 and 1037) and RockaRoo rockers (model 4M-012) sold at Canadian Tire because the restraints could hang underneath the seat when the bassinet or rocker is not in use, posing a strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers who become entangled in the restraints.

At present, the Canadian Ministry of Health has not received any reports of strangulation of babies. However, according to the report of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, 4moms has received two reports of strangulation of babies in the United States, one of which was a 10-month-old baby who died of suffocation and the other was a 10-month-old baby who suffered abrasions on the front of the neck.

According to 4moms , approximately 77,700 MamaRoos bassinets and 10,000 RockaRoos rockers are sold in Canada, and approximately 2 million MamaRoos bassinets and 220,000 RockaRoos rockers are sold in the United States.

Another recall involves For Living brand 1" Cordless Light Filtering White Mini Blinds because they do not comply with the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and young children could become entangled in the curtain cords, posing a strangulation and suffocation hazard.

According to For Living, approximately 110,000 of the recalled blinds were sold in Canada from May 2021 to July 2022.

Additionally, one of the recalls involves PVC blinds sold at Bed Bath & Beyond in widths between 18 and 72 inches, with a variety of length options including 42, 48, 64 or 72 inches, and in colors such as white, bluestone, black, wood grain and gray.

As with the previous recall, the reason for the recall of this PVC blind is that it does not comply with the Cord Window Treatment Regulations. Young children may become entangled in the curtain cords, posing a risk of strangulation and suffocation.

The final recall involves the Samsung HW-Q67CB/ZC soundbar (item number: 2336700) sold at Costco because the product has a defect when connected to the device and may not work properly.

Costco Canada stated on its recall notice page that customers who purchased the problematic speakers at a Costco store or website between May 1, 2022 and August 18, 2022 can receive a full refund.
