Walmart's last-mile delivery service GoLocal has surpassed 1 million deliveries!

Walmart announced that its last-mile delivery service, called Walmart GoLocal, surpassed 1 million deliveries in its first year. In addition to strengthening GoLocal’s presence, Walmart is also beefing up GoLocal’s delivery business with local sellers, adding 5,000 collection points by 2022.

Walmart GoLocal, launched in August 2021, is a new service that Walmart uses its own delivery platform to provide delivery for small and large retailers. Sellers can also use this delivery service to provide same-day delivery services to buyers.

The service itself is a new service developed by Walmart to meet its own delivery needs, which promises to deliver the goods purchased by buyers within two hours. However, GoLocal deliveries are not handled by Walmart's own employees, but by outsourced workers through the Spark Driver program. It also supports Walmart's same-day delivery business.

Walmart GoLocal Expansion

Walmart plans to further expand GoLocal's business in the future to attract more sellers to join its e-commerce network. Walmart also recently announced that it will purchase electric vehicles to enhance its last-mile delivery capabilities.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said: "We are engaging larger customers while unlocking small and medium-sized sellers. Our technology and expertise will help sellers grow their businesses, which in turn will strengthen Walmart's influence."
