Wayfair is under fire for product images containing sensitive content! Sellers should avoid this misstep

According to foreign media reports, Wayfair was recently discovered by sharp-eyed netizens that a product image on its platform contained a "white supremacist" book. Wayfair was therefore criticized by a large number of netizens, who demanded that it immediately remove the product.

A Twitter user posted a screenshot of the product page, which showed a coffee table with a decorative bowl and a white-gray book with "white supremacy" written on the side. The tweet quickly received thousands of retweets and more than 26,000 likes after it was posted.

The book's cover can be seen in the second photo, and appears to match the 2011 book State of White Supremacy.

Twitter users expressed outrage and @Wayfair demanded an explanation. As of last Friday, Wayfair had removed the product, and clicking on the original link of the product would redirect to the search results page for "coffee table".

A Wayfair spokesperson responded: "Like other retailers of this product, when we became aware of this issue, we took immediate action to remove the product images from the website." The spokesperson also said that it is investigating the matter with the supplier.

It can be seen that foreign consumers are very sensitive to the topic of racial discrimination. Cross-border sellers should conduct more inspections when selling goods to avoid making mistakes.
