Wireless product certification in India can be divided into two modes: ETA (Equipment Type of Approval) certification and License. The basis for determination is the working frequency band used by the application equipment. For free and open frequency bands, ETA certification is required; if the equipment uses other non-free and open frequency bands, such as GSM, WCDMA mobile phones, etc., a license is required.

Whether to send samples to India for local testing:

-ETA certification, you can apply for RF report of European EN standard or American FCC standard, no need to send samples;

-Licence, samples must be sent for testing.

Application time: 4-6 weeks.

·Certificate validity period: No fixed validity period, it can be used as long as the standard remains unchanged.
