More than 400 million counterfeit products were found on seven major platforms including Amazon and Walmart!

It is learned that according to the "2021 Anti-Counterfeiting Advertising Display" released by the American professional anti-counterfeiting agency The Counterfeit Report, more than 400 million counterfeit products were found on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Wish, Newegg, Dhgate and Alibaba.

In addition, the US Government Office (GAO) conducted a secret investigation on several e-commerce websites including Amazon, Walmart, Newegg and eBay and found that 50% of the products were counterfeit.

The Counterfeit Report said that the counterfeit products found on these platforms are only a part of them, and many have already reached consumers. In addition, it is infuriating that retailers often ignore complaints of counterfeit products and try to continue to sell them after deleting the listings.

The anti-counterfeiting agency also severely criticized Amazon, saying that it claimed that it had no responsibility when counterfeit products appeared on its platform, even if the products seriously endangered the health and safety of consumers, or even caused death. The Counterfeit Report seriously questioned Amazon's promise to "guarantee that all products sold are authentic."

In addition, if retailers such as Amazon and Walmart continue to cover up counterfeit products and allow them to continue to circulate in the online market, there will only be one result in the end: completely crushing local American businesses, seriously damaging the U.S. economy, and endangering the health of residents.

It is learned that The Counterfeit Report and the US government have jointly advocated that consumers should try to choose three-proof products when shopping online, and if they find that the products are counterfeit, they should contact them immediately. The government will vigorously crack down on these products and require retailers to delete related listings.
