According to Business Insider, American Eagle Outfitters, an American streetwear company, recently acquired logistics startup AirTerra. It is reported that AirTerra has developed a logistics and supply chain management system that can shorten the delivery time of packages and has reliability and low cost. The two companies have recently started cooperation.

It is learned that in the first quarter of 2021, American Eagle Outfiters' turnover reached US$1.0346 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%. In addition, its online sales soared by 57%. In order to cope with the rapid development of the online market, the company acquired AirTerra, strengthened the supply chain and optimized the logistics and transportation system.

Michael Rempell, chief operating officer of American Eagle Outfiters, said American Eagle Outfiters has made initial progress in the supply chain. With the reduction in the shipment volume of each order, the delivery time of each package has been shortened by 1.5 days on average.

Michael Rempell further stated that the company will strive to provide customers with a better delivery experience to promote product sales. The cooperation between American Eagle Outfiters and AirTerra will also shorten the return time of goods and allow these goods to be resold in a short time.
