Urgent notice! Countdown to Amazon’s new regulations!

Urgent notice! Countdown to Amazon’s new regulations!

Amazon's compliance requirements for sellers are becoming increasingly stringent.

Recently, there has been heated discussions in the Amazon seller community, and a large number of sellers have received compliance reminder emails regarding the valid tracking rate (VTR).

Once again, sellers are reminded that there are only 4 days left before the Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) policy takes effect. If you have not taken action yet, now is the time to step up!

Especially for self-delivery sellers, it is directly related to whether your product listing can be sold successfully.

  • VTR concept : Measures the frequency with which self-delivery sellers use valid tracking codes. Amazon requires at least 95% of packages to provide valid tracking information.

  • VTR calculation formula : Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) = Number of packages with valid tracking codes ÷ Total number of packages × 100%. For example, if you send out 100 packages in a month, at least 95 of them must have tracking codes to meet compliance requirements.

If it is lower than this standard, the seller’s self-delivery rights may be restricted!

Please note that a consistently low valid tracking rate will have a negative impact on the seller’s account health and reduce the overall performance of the account.

View VTR metrics and reports : View VTR metrics through Amazon Seller Central's "Performance" > "Account Health" > "Shipping Performance" > "View Details". Also, obtain VTR defect reports by clicking "Request Report" in the Shipping Performance section and "Filter" by carrier and/or product category.

Regarding the new VTR regulations, sellers must pay attention to: choose an officially approved logistics service provider that supports tracking !

The main thing is to choose a logistics partner that is integrated with Amazon, ensure that all packages come with valid tracking codes, and can provide the necessary tracking information. Sellers should mainly optimize the order processing process, improve packaging and delivery efficiency, and ensure that orders can be shipped and tracked in a timely manner.

In short, Amazon's new VTR policy has put forward higher requirements for self-delivery sellers, but it is also an important opportunity for sellers to improve customer satisfaction and protect sales rights. It is recommended that you prepare as early as possible to ensure a smooth transition before the new policy takes effect.
