Big news! New requirements for Amazon listings are now available. Compliance must be completed before publishing!

Amazon officially announced that starting from September 30, 2024 (from today) , in order to reduce the problem of listing removal due to compliance issues, a new [Early Compliance Process] will be launched.

In the process of creating a listing, sellers need to upload compliance information first, complete compliance review or compliance appeal, and complete compliance in advance before the listing goes online!

If you do not pass the compliance requirements, you will not be able to pass the Listing review!

BUT, please note: this will only take effect on new listings and existing listings will not be affected.

The policy on early compliance was announced in August this year . At that time, many sellers reported that when they uploaded products to Amazon’s backend, the products were deleted immediately after the upload was successful. After asking the payment manager for the reason, they were told that the products were deleted immediately because of the compliance review!

It was revealed at that time that the policy would be fully implemented by the end of November this year at the latest, but now it has been brought forward!

All listing creation methods, including single upload, batch upload, Amazon AI creation, one-click listing to the world, and API, will be simultaneously launched in advance of the compliance process.

This new regulation will have a significant impact on sellers, especially in the following aspects:

1. The promotion rhythm needs to be replanned : As the listing release time is extended, the product launch time will also be prolonged. The seller’s new product promotion rhythm needs to be recalculated, and this factor should be considered in advance.

2. Product material compliance requirements have become higher: Sellers involved in related products need to prepare compliance materials at the early stage of creating listings and ensure material compliance.

Overall, although the process is more complicated and the review time is extended, sellers can understand in advance what compliance materials are required for the listing, avoid non-compliant products from inferior merchants being released on the market, and resolve compliance issues before product release, avoiding subsequent disputes and unnecessary product removals, which may have a positive impact on long-term operational stability.
