What is Drivy? Drivy Review
Drivy is a P2P car rental company based in France. Another advantage of Drivy is that the more cars available for rent on the platform, the more convenient it will be for users to rent and return cars on it. The nearest car available for rent on the Drivy platform is usually closer than the car rental company, and you can even rent a car directly from the owner in the same community as you. Basic Introduction

Drivy is headquartered in Paris, France. It launched its time-sharing rental business in 2010. After nearly 9 years of development and operation, the platform has accumulated 2.5 million users.

Leasing business

In terms of P2P time-sharing rental business, Getaround is similar to Drivy in model. Users with idle vehicles can publish vehicle information to the platform, including vehicle model, mileage, maintenance status, etc.; users who need to rent a car can open the APP to view the distribution of nearby rentable vehicles, and then select a suitable vehicle to complete an online reservation, and then go to the rental point to pick up the car according to the navigation.

The difference is that Drivy users still need to complete the transaction by "the owner providing the key" when they go to the designated location to pick up the car.

Financing and M&A

In April 2015, Drivy received $8.6 million in Series B funding from Index Ventures, Alven Capital, Bpifrance, Via-ID and Ecotechnology Fund. Previously, the company had received 2 million euros in seed investment.

In 2016, the company completed a US$35 million financing round led by Cathay Innovation, followed by Nokia Growth Partners, Bpifrance and Index Ventures.

In April 2019, the US P2P car-sharing platform “Getaround” officially announced that it had acquired its largest competitor in European market share, “Drivy”, for US$300 million.

Development History

In January 2019, Mov'InBlue announced a partnership with European car-sharing platform Drivy to launch a connected, interoperable shared mobility solution that allows fleet managers to share vehicles on the Drivy platform.
