Basic Introduction

Founded in Winnipeg, Canada in 2013, Bold Commerce has developed 20 applications that integrate with several major e-commerce platforms, including Shopify and Big Commerce. These applications support subscriptions, bundling, upselling, multi-currency checkout, Quickbooks and Xero integration, loyalty programs and more.

Function Introduction

Bold Commerce works directly with merchants to integrate their applications on any platform, including Magento, Demandware, and Woo Commerce, via an API. Sellers must contact Bold Commerce to request access.

Bold Brain also works with some of Bold Commerce’s other apps — for example, merchants using Bold Commerce’s Upsell app can also take advantage of automated recommendations so that each customer sees different products based on their past experience.

Bold Commerce has more than 90,000 customers worldwide, including the Obama Foundation, Zippo, NPR, Bon Jovi Official Store, and DJ Khaled's Goldition.

Financing

In January 2019, Bold Commerce received its first round of financing from Whitecap Venture Partners and Round13 Capital, raising $16.5 million to bring artificial intelligence to e-commerce stores on Shopify and elsewhere. Bold Commerce said it plans to use the funds to accelerate the global promotion of the platform while doubling its team and hiring more than 200 programmers, designers, data scientists, analysts and sales in the next few years.
