What is Add-on Item? Add-on Item Review
Add-on Item is a product logo launched by Amazon. The system will automatically assign it to low- priced products (less than $10) shipped by FBA . The specific price standards vary in different categories.

Overview

Amazon's Add-On Program allows customers to purchase items that were previously only sold in bulk. Generally, these items are small, cheap items, such as nail clippers, toilet paper, light bulbs, soap, etc. Such orders are shipped by Amazon, so all items in the shopping cart must be "Sold by Amazon" or "Fullfilled by Amzon".

Cause

Add-on Item. Products marked with the Add-on Item logo are all shipped through FBA and have very low unit prices. The Amazon system will calculate the small amount of profit generated by such products for Amazon, and the delivery costs are higher than the profits. Therefore, in order to increase the profit margin, Amazon has set a limit on such products. When you purchase the product separately, the total order amount must exceed US$25 before you can place an order. Even if you are a Prime member, you must also meet the order amount of US$25.

Delivery of Add-on products

After customers add such products to their shopping carts, the total amount of their purchases during checkout must reach US$25 (RMB 79 on Amazon China) to qualify for free shipping. If the total amount is less than US$25, customers can still check out other items normally, but the add-on products will be left behind and cannot be included in the checkout.

In addition, even if you are a Prime member who can enjoy free shipping when buying FBA products, you must spend more than $25 to get free shipping on such products. For example, if you buy a $7.99 Burt’s Bee lipstick and you also have $20 worth of other products, then all your products can enjoy FREE Super Saver Shipping.

Cause

Shipped by FBA; priced below $10; poor sales.

How to remove the Add-on Item logo

1. Slowly increase the product price step by step for testing;

2. Increase product sales

3. No FBA (however, Amazon would be tantamount to suicide without FBA)

4. Contact overseas customer service. Remember, it is overseas customer service. Domestic customer service does not have this authority to change

5. Joining Amazon's Small and Light Program can avoid the Add-on Item logo. Amazon Logistics Small and Light Program is a delivery solution for small and light commodities with fast circulation and price not exceeding $15. The delivery fee for each item is usually lower than the similar standard Amazon logistics delivery fee. And the product will not show the add on item logo!
