Shopify adds new payment terms for draft orders

It is learned that recently, Shopify officially announced that the Shopify draft order function has been updated, and sellers can attach invoices with payment terms when sending draft orders to B2B customers.

It is understood that when conducting B2B wholesale business, sellers can create draft orders for orders received from customers outside of online stores through the B2B on Shopify function. This update can help sellers reserve time for customers to review the products and prices they purchased. Customers can review the products and prices in the order before payment, and complete the payment within the period specified in the invoice and in accordance with the terms set in the order or account.

In addition, this update also upgrades the metafield filtering function. Sellers can use the metafields of company name or location to filter on the company search page and detail page to accurately and quickly locate the required B2B customer information. It is worth noting that this filtering function only supports the use of metafields such as single-line text, product reference, True or False, collection reference, page reference, and meta-object reference. Shopify said that this function can help sellers save time in flipping through customer information, filter the required data with one click, and make B2B business more efficient.

It is also learned that the draft order module was also updated in the v9.166 version of the Shopify App. After this update, the synchronization of the draft order operation on the mobile terminal and the web terminal is enhanced, and a series of functions that were previously unavailable on the mobile terminal are also unlocked.
