Certification requirements:

Product requirements:

1. EMI/EMC: According to TEC Standard TEC/SD/DD/EMC-221/05/OCT16

2. Safety: Based on TEC Letter no. TEC/R/Safety/2015 dated 15.04.2015

3. Technical requirements

4. Other requirements: SAR and/or ROHS and/or IPv6 and/or Green Passport, etc., and any requirements from TEC/DoT/any Government Agency

5. Information security requirements: in accordance with DoT requirements

Label requirements:

Certified products must have a label that contains at least the following:

1. OEM Name

2. Equipment brand, brand, model and serial number,

3. P: certification type (S/G), QRS: certificate expiration date, Q is capital letters A to L, representing January to December, RS is the last two digits of the year, ABCD is the certificate number, FG: future use

Certification process:

TEC certification is divided into two types: GCS and SCS:

l SCS: The applicant needs to submit a test report and SDoC (Self-Declaration of Conformity). The test is conducted in a TEC designated laboratory or an MRA approved laboratory. The test report is valid for 6 months.

l GCS: After the applicant pays the application fee, the test is carried out in a laboratory designated or approved by TEC. The test report is submitted to TEC. If it meets the requirements, TEC will issue a certificate and provide label details. The certification time is within 4-8 weeks after submitting the report.
