It is learned that on January 16, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of an office chair sold by Veyer because the bolts connecting the backrest and the chair legs may loosen, posing a risk of falling. It is understood that the recalled product is the WorkPro Momentum ergonomic office chair. The product is divided into two colors: black (model 8517865) and gray (model 2864384). It has a metal frame, a padded seat, five pulleys and a high backrest that can move left and right. The model number is located under the seat cushion. About 64,000 of the products were sold in Office Depot and Office Max stores in the United States and on websites such as Amazon, Walmart and eBay between October 2021 and September 2024, priced at about $430. So far, Veyer has received seven reports of consumers falling from the chair, resulting in two minor injuries. The CPSC said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs until they are repaired and contact Veyer to receive a free repair kit, including shipping and installation instructions. Veyer is currently contacting all known purchasers directly. Author ✎ Rayna/ Statement: This article is copyrighted and may not be reproduced without permission.
