Wish and Singapore Post collaborate to shorten delivery times in Australia

It is learned that on July 27, the US e-commerce platform Wish announced a cooperation agreement with Singapore Post in Australia, which aims to improve consumers' shopping experience more broadly.

After the cooperation, it is expected that Wish's delivery time in Australia will be shortened to 2 weeks, which used to take 3 weeks for Wish to deliver goods, and the parcel transportation will be tracked throughout. As part of the cooperation, Singapore Post's Australian subsidiary CouriersPlease will be responsible for import customs clearance and provide terminal delivery services.

Since last year, Wish has been seeking to reshape its brand image. After experiencing a sharp drop in active users and revenue, Wish has learned a profound lesson and launched a series of plans to improve customer experience, including raising the threshold for sellers to enter the platform and strengthening supervision of sellers.

Bill Zhang, vice president of global logistics at Wish, said: “We are excited to expand our network of logistics partners to shorten delivery times for our Australian users.”

At the same time, Wish is making efforts to enter markets outside the United States. In March of this year, after being banned for a year and a half by French government agencies, Wish agreed to pay a fine of 3 million euros and was finally able to return to the French market.

Wish is also working on improving logistics and transportation timeliness.

On February 1, Wish announced that it will phase in a new $2.99 flat shipping fee, which will apply to all orders over $10 that qualify for flat shipping, at no additional cost to merchants. After rolling out to app users in the United States in February, the flat shipping fee will be phased in to Wish’s other major markets by the end of March.

With continuous efforts, Wish's on-time delivery rate has been greatly improved (94%) and the arrival time has been greatly shortened (15 days in key markets).
