A large survey on online shopping in the United States: These factors affect consumers' purchasing decisions!

It is learned that according to Salsify’s survey, with the rapid development of e-commerce, the purchasing trends of American consumers are also changing.

According to a survey by Salsify, nearly half (46%) of American consumers said that they would not make a purchase if the product information was incomplete during online shopping. Among them, 30% said that they would not buy if the product image was missing or too blurry.

In addition, nearly half of consumers said they are willing to pay more when purchasing branded items, and 29% of them said they are willing to pay higher shipping costs if the delivery time is shortened.

It is worth noting that 37% of Americans choose private label products, and 13% buy directly from the brand’s official website.

It is learned that compared with France (19%), the United Kingdom (28%) and Germany (29%), more American online shoppers (40%) are affected by supply chain issues during the peak season and cancel or stop purchasing items.

Salsify's survey also pointed out that when the epidemic broke out in March 2020, two-thirds (66%) of US consumers did not buy groceries online, but now 15% only buy such items online, and another 38% adopt a hybrid method of online and in-store shopping.
