It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Worldwise, the leading pet e-commerce platform in the United States, has recently acquired its competitor FurHaven. After the transaction is completed, FurHaven will operate as an independent brand under the Worldwise platform, and the platform will continue to be led by Kevin Fick, the current CEO of Worldwise.
Worldwise said that through this acquisition, they will create an omni-channel marketing environment for FurHaven, leveraging multiple product portfolios to enhance the overall business scale, while also introducing new product categories to expand the consumer base.
It is reported that Eric Heilborn, founder and CEO of FurHaven, will also join Fick and the Worldwise management team to focus on driving brand strategic plans. Under Fick's leadership, Worldwise is expected to continue to seek more acquisition opportunities to expand its platform, coverage and product offerings.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in California, Worldwise offers a variety of categories including cat toys, pet bedding, dog toys, cat scratchers and travel accessories. The platform ranks first in both cat toys and pet travel products.
