DHL expands its logistics network in the United States! Will invest about $300 million!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, DHL, a leading global logistics company, recently announced that it will invest more than US$300 million in the United States in the next five years to expand its logistics network in the United States, and will also add automation facilities to all its US distribution centers and upgrade its IT operating system platform.


It is reported that due to the booming international e-commerce, DHL will also invest in the construction of dedicated export stations in Carteret, New Jersey, Franklin Park, Illinois and Whittier, California for international transportation.

Lee Spratt, CEO of DHL Americas, said that with the development of DHL's logistics network and the upgrade of automated equipment, the delivery time for American customers will be greatly shortened. In the future, the number of online shoppers and online stores will continue to grow, and DHL will continue to strengthen its cargo transportation capabilities to meet the development needs of online shopping.


It is learned that DHL currently has 19 distribution centers and 3 corporate offices in the United States, with approximately 4,200 employees. The company will focus on providing services to B2C online merchants, responsible for the domestic and international delivery of lightweight packages and small packages.
