What to do if a pesticide is misidentified

Recently, many sellers have encountered links being removed from the shelves due to pesticide issues. Of course, there are many situations here. Some sellers' products themselves belong to the category of pesticide products. For example  

Why not allow non-US sellers to sell?

The reason why Amazon restricts the sale of pesticides to domestic sellers is mainly related to the regulations and policies of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to these regulations, any product used to prevent, eliminate, repel or reduce pests must comply with the requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and all applicable state and local laws.

Specifically, only U.S. residents can sell pesticides and insecticide equipment on Amazon US. Non-U.S. residents who sell related products will be removed from the shelves and will not be able to file a complaint. This policy is intended to ensure that all pesticide products sold have undergone proper registration and labeling review to protect consumer safety and compliance.

Of course, some sellers may misjudge products because of sensitive words in the product link description.
1. The listing itself contains relevant sensitive words;

2. The VC account on the same site adds sensitive words to your listing;

3. Sell your ASIN across sites and add sensitive words;

4. System misjudgment

How to appeal if it is a misjudgment?

Solution 1

Download the batch upload template from the backend. If sensitive words do appear, remove the sensitive words in the table attributes. If no sensitive words are found, fill in the empty spaces in the table (because sensitive words may be added to hidden attributes). It is recommended to use the category template to update. Please try to cover all the following attributes (the consumerelectronics category template will cover them) to avoid Amazon grabbing other people's wrong contributions because a certain attribute does not contribute. Template update may result in error 6039, you can ignore it, generally wait 2-3 hours for ASIN to automatically recover.

If it is still not restored, please contact Seller Support to apply for ASIN review or write an email to the listing review team to appeal and update and re-review.

Appeal email: [email protected]. It usually takes at least 2-3 days.

Solution 2

1. Download the classification template in the background and try to fill in all attribute fields without sensitive words;

2. Delete the marked ASIN in the background, and then upload the form in the batch upload module; ASIN and SKU should still be filled in as they were, without any changes; first [Upload and Check] this template to see if there is any error, if there is no error, then select [Upload] Tips: Both uploads are in the [Inventory File] format, if there is an error, download the error report and carefully check where the error is, modify it, and then upload it again according to the above steps;

3. After successful uploading, a self-delivery link will appear in the background. After converting it to Amazon delivery, it may be displayed as unavailable or out of stock.

4. Open a case to Amazon Seller Support Customer Service Team with the following content: One of our products ASIN: xxxxx has available inventory in Amazon warehouse, but it is displayed as unavailable (out of stock). Please help us refresh the link so that the linked inventory can be restored to sale. Thank you very much.

5. Resume normal sales after refreshing;

Some sellers have followed the above steps and deleted sensitive words, but the ASIN is still not restored? There may still be sensitive words. If you are not sure about the sensitive words, the simplest solution is to delete all the five points of the listing description, and only write product keywords or some words that are completely unrelated to insecticides, and upload them using a form.
