Amazon has another new feature that allows sellers to direct traffic to independent sites!

The latest news is that Amazon US is testing a shopping feature based on mobile search.

The new feature allows users to find and jump to the brand's official website to purchase products when searching in its shopping app, even if the brand is not sold on the Amazon platform.

Simply put, when consumers search for brands or products on the Amazon app , if they cannot find the product, this feature will direct them to the brand's own website , where they can view product details, pricing and delivery options, and complete the purchase directly.

# Diversified search results: Search results will not only include products from Amazon and third-party sellers, but will also display selected products from some brand official websites with direct jump links, making the search experience closer to Google-style search platforms.

# Prioritize platform products : In terms of search result presentation, Amazon will still give priority to displaying related products on the platform, and list selected products that can be purchased on the brand's official website. Users can click "View More" to browse more products of the brand.

# Clear jump prompt : When users select products sold on the brand’s official website, the system will pop up a prompt to remind them that they are about to leave Amazon and jump to the brand’s official website .

Amazon also emphasized that it will not share shoppers' personal information with brand websites, which protects shoppers' privacy to a certain extent. At the same time, it will regularly update product information obtained from brand websites, including prices, but shoppers still need to confirm the final price on the brand website to ensure the accuracy of the information.

The test is currently underway for some US customers using the Amazon shopping app (iOS and Android devices).

What is even more surprising to consumers is that although Amazon's services are used, the brands participating in this test are not limited to those merchants offering "Buy With Prime", but cover multiple categories.

“We’re committed to expanding our assortment and making shopping easier,” said Rajiv Mehta, Vice President of Search and Conversational Shopping at Amazon. “By bringing more brands to our search results, we can help customers discover more of what they love and enhance the overall shopping experience.”

Brands can apply to participate in the trial or request to opt out by emailing [email protected].
