Basic Introduction

Warung Pintar was founded in November 2017 and mainly provides digital solutions for the large number of mom-and-pop stores in Indonesia. Warung Pintar adopts a model of cooperation with existing stores, and provides digital accounting, warehousing, distribution processing and payment collection functions for traditional mom-and-pop stores by connecting to companies such as Moka POS, Jurnal Kudo, Do-Cart and Waresix.

Development financing

In February 2018, Indonesian new retail company Warung Pintar announced the completion of a US$4 million seed round of financing. Investors included SMDV, Digital Garage, East Ventures, Insignia Ventures Partner, Triputra Group and other anonymous angel investors.

In August 2018, Indonesian new retail company Warung Pintar announced that it had received a new round of US$4 million in financing. Vertex Ventures, Pavilion Capital and LINE Ventures participated in the company's latest round of financing.

In August 2018, Go-Jek announced that its payment platform Go-Pay had connected to Indonesian startup Warung Pintar to provide cashless payment channels for more family-run stores.

In December 2018, Warung Pintar officially expanded to Banyuwangi Regency (East Java, Indonesia)

In January 2019, Indonesian micro-retail technology startup Warung Pintar recently announced the completion of a US$27.5 million Series B financing round. Existing investors included SMDV, Vertex Ventures, Pavilion Capital, LINE Ventures, Digital Garage, Agaeti, Triputra, Jerry Ng and EV Growth. The new investor is OVO.
