The company claims that it has reached 2,000 Tier 2, 3 and 4 towns and villages in India by enabling the first e-commerce transaction in its lifetime.

Company Introduction

Mall91 was founded in 2018 by Nitin Raj Gupta, whose parent company is Rovi91 Innovations. The company provides services such as games, videos, chats and social shopping to customers, targeting 400 million local users in second-, third- and fourth-tier cities. The startup currently operates in more than 2,000 cities and raised seed funding in December last year.

Financing

In October 2019, Mall91, an Indian social commerce platform for local users, announced that it had received a round A financing of 679 million rupees (about 7.5 million US dollars), led by Go-Venture, and participated by Beenext, Kalaari Capital and AngelList India. It is reported that the company will use the funds for product development, international expansion, talent recruitment and strengthening supply chain capabilities.
