Amazon Global Selling Assistant will stop service! Sellers: It was a wrong payment after all

Amazon Global Selling Assistant will stop service! Sellers: It was a wrong payment after all

Recently, Amazon has been issuing new rules frequently. Last week, Amazon issued a notice that "starting from September 1, 2020, the merchant name and address will be displayed on the seller's profile page." Subsequently, the "Sales Performance" section in the backend was quietly moved to the position shown in the figure below, which made sellers very uncomfortable.

A series of sudden operations confused the sellers. Before they could adapt to the new backend interface, they were frightened by a notification from Amazon.

The original notice is as follows↓↓↓

We will officially stop all services related to Amazon Global Selling Assistant (haimai.amazon.cn) in August 2020. At present, we cannot guarantee the timeliness of the data and related product performance updates in Amazon Global Selling Assistant.

For a better user experience and to obtain accurate and timely information, please use the Amazon Seller Platform or Amazon Seller App to perform related business operations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The editor tried to open the Haimai Assistant, and the following prompt window appeared.

It is understood that as early as August 2018, Amazon issued a notice to stop all services related to Amazon Global Selling Assistant, but it has been delayed until now. This notice directly stipulates the time for the Global Selling Assistant to stop service, and it seems that this time it will really be implemented.

Amazon Global Selling Assistant is an official Amazon sales tool that can help sellers view real-time product performance and customize a seller-specific competitive product tracking list. It is limited to accounts on the US and European sites, and its main functions include product publishing, data navigation, account management, seller communication , etc. It can meet the basic operational issues of sellers, so it is very popular.

One seller admitted: "It has become a habit to use Haimai Assistant to research and check my store data. I feel more secure using official channel tools and I rely on them very much."

Some sellers also expressed concerns that if this function is turned off, there will be a risk of information leakage if the data is transmitted through third-party channels.

After the notice was issued, it sparked discussions and opposition from many sellers. "If Haimai Assistant is no longer usable, for those of us who often check sales every few minutes, it feels like the fun and enthusiasm of doing business on Amazon every day will be reduced a lot."

Who wouldn’t love such a practical and free data analysis software? Now, the tool that “depends on for survival” will also be discontinued, and sellers can only sigh: What is life like?

"I feel like Amazon is just short of launching a rooftop service and black people carrying coffins, which would be a complete trap until you die."

"Oh no, it's killing our sales enthusiasm. Have you ever thought about the feeling of having to keep placing orders?"

"It's getting harder and harder to use. I'm speechless. They don't focus on customer experience. We sellers are not considered customers. You have to search Amazon for tasks that you can see at a glance. The backend is stuck. I'm really fed up."

“I don’t know what it means to have less than 10 orders a day.”

“I look up to the sky when I get an order every two days.”

"Bad experience, pitfalls, difficult to use, speechless" have become the key words sellers use to evaluate Amazon. It can be seen that sellers have been dissatisfied with Amazon for a long time.

Faced with Amazon's policy being updated every few days, many sellers feel disappointed. Some sellers speculate that Amazon is going to launch new paid software, while others question whether Amazon is only concerned with profits and not customer experience.

No matter what Amazon's purpose is, sellers cannot change this fact. Although Amazon's policies and background updates will bring inconvenience to sellers, sellers must also adapt as soon as possible.

Every policy has its countermeasure. Sellers can look for other alternative data analysis software or use other means to achieve operational goals and minimize adverse effects.

If you have anything else to complain about Haimai Assistant's discontinuation of service, please leave a message in the comment section.
