The 4 biggest pitfalls to avoid on Black Friday! 100,000 sellers don’t know

The 4 biggest pitfalls to avoid on Black Friday! 100,000 sellers don’t know

Amazon previously announced that this year's Black Friday promotion will last from Friday, November 22 to Friday, November 29, which means it will last for 7 days.

Although the Black Friday promotion has already begun, Chenzi has learned from many sellers that the Black Friday atmosphere has not been felt yet, and the order volume is not very optimistic, and is even less than before.

Chenzi guessed that the buyers just wanted to wait for the real Black Friday to enjoy bigger discounts, so they haven't paid yet. Therefore, sellers don't need to be too anxious, as sales will not explode until Black Friday.

Sellers just need to be prepared and wait for the traffic feast on Black Friday! So during the period of Black Friday traffic influx, in order to avoid a big drop in sales, are there any pitfalls that must be avoided?

1. Avoid overlapping promotions

I believe that sellers will set up various promotional codes for products during Black Friday, so you must be careful about the possible discount overlap between different discount codes.

Currently, Amazon has cancelled independent discount codes, leaving only priority and unlimited discount codes. Please note that these two types of discount codes can be stacked.

When setting up promotions, sellers must check whether both types of discount codes are set for the same ASIN to avoid losses caused by overlapping discounts.

In addition, coupons and flash sales, as long as they are from the same period as the discount code, will also cause superposition.

Another mistake that novice sellers make most often is to mistake discount reductions for discount inputs. They originally intended to give a 20% discount, but ended up setting it as 80% off. You can imagine how disastrous the consequences of this would be.

Therefore, before Black Friday officially begins, sellers must first conduct a thorough check of the background promotion settings, flash sales and coupon settings to eliminate all situations that may cause discount duplication (except for those who want to clear inventory at a loss) to avoid unnecessary losses.

2. Do not adjust the price of a listing that has been listed for a flash sale

If the price of a listing that has been registered for a flash sale is adjusted, it may be disqualified from the flash sale.

Therefore, for listings that have already been registered for flash sales, it is important to avoid adjusting prices before the event begins, so as to avoid missing out on the opportunity to generate huge sales.

We all know that the purpose of participating in flash sales is first sales and then profit.

Maybe the profit of a single product is low, but if the sales volume is high enough and the inventory turnover is fast, it will not only speed up the capital turnover rate, but also improve the ranking of the listing and help create a hit product.

3. Avoid setting your advertising budget too low

During Black Friday, advertising expenses increased significantly, and it is very normal for them to double or triple than usual.

Chenzi recommends that as long as the advertisement can bring in orders, you can invest as much budget as possible, and set it to twice or more than the usual amount, because the traffic you will receive during this period will be high-conversion traffic, and there is only this one opportunity a year.

Don't regret missing out on traffic because your budget has been burned up early.

In addition, remember to increase the bid for the ad to give the product more exposure opportunities.

4. Avoid all illegal operations

Sellers who have been on Amazon for a while know that Amazon always takes the approach of settling accounts later.

Especially after the peak season, Amazon will definitely strengthen its review of accounts. In previous years, there were many cases of reviews being deleted and accounts being blocked after the peak season.

Therefore, during Black Friday, sellers should avoid all illegal operations, such as abusing variants, manipulating reviews, etc. The most important thing during the peak season is to ensure the security of the account.

Black Friday is around the corner, and I believe that all seller friends are now ready, only lacking the east wind. Don’t fall into the trap due to momentary negligence, and end up having nothing to lose, turning the peak season into "forgettable".

Finally, Chenzi wishes all sellers a huge sales volume on Black Friday! A huge sales volume! A huge sales volume again!
