About Rentomojo

Rentomojo, a Bengaluru-based rental service platform, was founded by Indian Institute of Technology Madras graduates Geetansh Bamania and Ajay Nain in November 2014. The company provides customers with a "user pays" service covering areas such as house, office and car rental.

The categories of objects on the Rentomojo platform include home appliances, furniture, packaging, kitchen and bathroom appliances, and two-wheelers. In addition to renting out single items like beds, microwave ovens, televisions, tables, and water purifiers, RentoMojo also offers rental packages.

On May 15, 2020, it received approximately US$3.24 million in funding from investors: Accel, Bain CAPItal, Chiratae Ventures

On December 6, 2019, it received $2 million in Series D financing from GMO Payment Gateway

On May 13, 2019, it received US$11 million in Series C financing from Accel India and Chiratae Venture Capital.

On July 20, 2017, it received a $10 million Series B financing from investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Accel Partners, IDG Venture, and Renaud Laplanche

On July 15, 2016, it received $5 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners, IDG Venture Partners

On November 24, 2015, it received a Pre-A round of financing of US$2 million from Accel Partners and IDG Ventures.
