The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled 170 Native Creation small wool sweaters on January 5. The reason for the recall is that the paint on the zipper pulls of the sweaters contains excessive lead. If the paint is ingested, the excessive lead content may be toxic to young children or cause other health problems. The Native Creation Small Fleece Sweater is available in dark grey, blue or black with a multi-color pattern in children's sizes 0 to 8. The sweater has a hood and a zipper in the front with drawcords at the top and bottom of the zipper path. The following are product pictures: The recalled sweater was sold at Native Creation for $29 from December 2020 to January 2021. The recall number is 22-044 and it was manufactured in Ecuador. No injuries have been reported so far. The CPSC recommends that consumers immediately keep the sweater away from children and contact Native Creation for a full refund.
